Caitlyn Jenner Says No Votes Cast In 2020. L.A. County Records Say Jenner Did Vote.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner told CNN this week that she did not cast a ballot for president in the November 2020 election or other statewide propositions, instead choosing to play golf.

But Los Angeles County records show Jenner did vote last fall, according to a new report.

“POLITICO reported last month that Jenner did not vote in nearly two-thirds of the elections in which she was eligible since 2000. After Jenner’s latest comments to CNN aired Tuesday morning, a representative of the registrar’s office reconfirmed to POLITICO that Jenner voted — with documentation,” the Washington, D.C.-based political website reported.

Jenner appeared on CNN and was asked by host Dana Bash if she had voted for former President Donald Trump in last year’s election.

“I didn’t even vote,” Jenner said. “Out here in California, it’s like, why vote for a Republican president? It’s just not going to work. I mean, it’s overwhelming.”

Jenner said they didn’t vote on any other ballot initiatives, either.

“It was voting day, and I thought, the only thing out here in California that I worry about, which affects people, is the propositions that were out there,” Jenner said. “And I didn’t see any propositions that I really had one side or the other. And so it was Election Day, and I just couldn’t get excited about it. And I just wound up going to play golf and I said, eh, I’m not doing that.”

Since announcing their run for governor of California, Jenner has made some headlines that the former Olympian likely wishes they hadn’t made. Jenner has made the case of being an average person, but a story Jenner told last week directly contradicted that self-portrait.

Appearing on the Sean Hannity show on Fox News, Jenner said: “My friends are leaving California. Actually my hangar, the guy right across, he was packing up his hangar and I said, ‘Where are you going?’ And he says ‘I’m moving to Sedona, Arizona. I can’t take it anymore. I can’t walk down the streets and see the homeless.’ I don’t want to leave. Either I stay and fight, or I get out of here.”

According to a 2017 report, Jenner owns a $1.5 million plane, a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron.

At the end of the interview, Jenner said: “Always a pleasure to talk to you, Sean. Now we’re going to find my plane around the corner, I’m going to take it for a flight.”

The first campaign video for Jenner, the former winner of the Olympic men’s decathlon, was released last week. The video, titled the “American Dream,” blames politicians for the state’s precipitous decline.

The ad opens with Jenner walking through what looks like Jenner’s home as a narrator says the “famed Olympic gold medalist” is now running for governor. Jenner is seen opening a cabinet to reveal a gold medal.

“California was once the envy of the world. We have what everyone else wanted. The American Dream grew up here,” Jenner says. Then the ad shows homeless people and burned-down buildings.

“Yet career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream,” Jenner says. “It’s been locked away, closed, shuttered, left in the dark, burned down. The government is now involved in every part of our lives. They’ve taken our money, our jobs, and our freedom.”

Jenner continues, saying, “California needs a disrupter, a compassionate disrupter.”
