Marjorie Taylor Greene mocks Fox News’s ‘baby boomer’ audience
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized Fox News for having an audience mostly composed of the aging “baby boomer” generation, stating that this group is “not the future of America.” Her remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Greene and Fox News host mark Levin, especially after disagrements about U.S. foreign policy, including President Trump’s recent strike on Iran. Greene also sparked controversy by referring to the conflict in Gaza as a “genocide,” leading Levin to publicly insult her. She has called on Congress to halt funding for Israel, highlighting her opposition to further U.S. involvement in foreign wars. Despite her criticisms, Fox News remains the top-rated cable news network with a large and loyal viewership.
Marjorie Taylor Greene mocks Fox News’s ‘baby boomer’ audience
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed Fox News has an audience that is “not the future of America” due to their age.
The Georgia representative’s splintering from the media outlet comes amid a spat between Greene and Fox News host Mark Levin. Both have disagreed about recent foreign campaigns ever since President Donald Trump chose to strike Iran.
Most recently, Greene bucked her party when she referred to the situation in Gaza, the overall site of the war between Israel and Hamas, as a “genocide.”
Levin called Greene a “moron” in an X post about her stance on Gaza. Greene appeared on Real America’s Voice’s Bolling! Wednesday to respond.
“Fox News better start paying attention, but their problem is most of the people that watch Fox News are very much up in age, the baby boomer generation, who I love, those are my parents, but that’s their biggest audience,” Greene said.
“That’s not the future of America.”
According to Nielsen Ratings, Fox News remains the No. 1 network this summer. Fox News Channel recently averaged 2.4 million viewers in Monday-Sunday prime time during the week of July 14 through 20, leading all broadcast and cable networks.
Fox News’s late-night show Gutfeld! has an average of 3 million viewers tuning in a week. Almost 400,000 viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 chose Greg Gutfeld over The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the week following CBS announcing it was axing the talk show for good.
“I know that’s hard and tough talk, but the future of America is my children’s generation, and they don’t have a future right now because we have Mark Levin, the neocons, and the establishment in Washington, D.C. pushing as hard as possible to shove us into more foreign wars,” Greene said.
Greene has gone further in her crusade, calling for her colleagues in the House to stop funding Israel ahead of the September government funding deadline.
