Senate Dems Voted For Wasting Your Tax Dollars On NPR, PBS

The summary describes a recent Senate vote in which all present Senate Democrats adn two Republicans opposed a Republican-led rescission package that aims to cut $9 billion in government spending. The funds targeted for cuts include financing for NPR and PBS, which the article criticizes heavily as left-leaning propaganda outlets that promote controversial and progressive content on topics such as gender ideology, social movements, and racial issues. The rescission package also seeks to cut funding for California Governor Gavin newsom’s high-speed rail project, labeled a costly and failed initiative. the article highlights objections from Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, while emphasizing this legislative win for the Republican Senate and than-President Donald Trump. It also points out that the House must approve the Senate’s version before a July 18 deadline to avoid the executive branch spending the funds. The piece portrays NPR and PBS as taxpayer-funded platforms endorsing left-wing agendas, including programs that normalize LGBTQ+ topics, promote gender transitions for children, and support reparations and racial critiques of American history. The article condemns these outlets and criticizes Democrats for defending their funding amid efforts to reduce government spending.

On Thursday, every single Senate Democrat present (and two Republicans) voted to waste $9 billion in American taxpayer money to keep funding far-left propaganda outlets NPR and PBS, as well as Gov. Gavin Newsom’s failed high-speed rail disaster.

In a 51-48 vote, the Republican-controlled Senate passed a rescission package that cuts $9 billion in government spending, but not without the objections of every Senate Democrat, as well as notoriously weak Republican Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., did not vote, as she was hospitalized on Wednesday.

The bill was a significant win for the Republican Senate and the White House, as no rescission bill has passed Congress since 1999, according to the Daily Caller. Collins, for her part, helped defeat a rescission package during Trump’s first term as well, despite claiming this time she was theoretically behind rescissions.

Now that the Senate has passed the bill, the House is facing a July 18 deadline to approve the Senate’s version of the measure and send it to President Donald Trump’s desk for signature, or the executive branch will be required to spend the money. What remains on the line is billions in cuts to foreign aid, public broadcasting propaganda, and Newsom’s high-speed rail “boondoggle,” characterized by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy as “the definition of government incompetence and possibly corruption.”

Duffy added that the rail system’s cost has gone from $33 billion to $135 billion — enough money, he said, to give every resident of Los Angeles and San Francisco 200 free flights — with “no completion date in sight.”

Speaking on the chamber floor on Thursday, Senate Majority Whip John Barasso, R-Wyo., said the government is otherwise set to spend “millions for the Green New Deal abroad,” and that there was “not one cent for working Americans here at home. That’s the warped priority of today’s Democrat Party.”

“We should never be funding vegan food in Africa, social media mentorship in Europe or Net Zero Cities in Mexico,” he added. “Americans voted for fiscal savings — not foreign slush funds.”

NPR and PBS are notorious bad actors that essentially exist on the taxpayer dole and persistently show deep disdain for America, Americans, and humanity generally.

At one point, NPR ran a story advocating cannibalism, titled “Cannibalism: It’s ‘Perfectly Natural,’ A New Scientific History Argues.”

It also ran a story stating the Declaration of Independence had “flaws and deeply ingrained hypocrisies.” Even worse, the piece came with a trigger warning, telling readers, “This story quotes the U.S. Declaration of Independence — a document that contains offensive language about Native Americans, including a racial slur.”

The deeply serious staff at NPR, which was fulfilling its annual reading of the Declaration on Independence Day, made sure to mention “after last summer’s protests and our national reckoning on race, the words in the document land differently,” advancing the “Black Lives Matter” scam advocated by the far left for years.

From dishonest and destructive social movements to extremely worrying obsessions over sexual deviancy, NPR has platformed it all.

As the White House pointed out, “NPR educated the nation on the ‘whole community of genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts’ and ‘trans-ceratops.’” Last year, NPR ran a story called “Masturbation abstinence is popular online. Doctors and therapists are worried.”

NPR must have the world’s largest percentage of zoophiles with how much animal sex content they have produced.

For Valentine’s Day, the propaganda outlet ran a story about “queer animals,” noting “some deer are nonbinary.” Another story argued that “animals deserve gender pronouns, too.” Yet another story was called “What ‘Queer Ducks’ can teach teenagers about sexuality in the animal kingdom.”

NPR also “routinely promotes the chemical and surgical mutilation of children as so-called ‘gender-affirming care’ without mentioning the irreversible damage caused by these procedures,” the White House stated.

In line with its embrace of gender ideology, NPR also claimed that there is “limited scientific evidence of physical advantage” of boys over girls, despite that fact being one of the more obvious aspects of human existence.

As for PBS, the propaganda station aired a show featuring a drag queen named “Lil’ Miss Hot Mess,” which it claimed was a “children’s program.” The drag queen, a male named Harris Kornstein, read from his own book called The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish.

Then PBS’s White House correspondent, Yamiche Alcindor, described Trump’s 2020 Mount Rushmore speech as “white resentment” that endorsed the “myth of America.” In the speech, Trump paid tribute to the U.S. military, America’s founders, and the “pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity,” while celebrating Independence Day.

PBS also produced a movie called Real Boy, which promotes the so-called gender “transitions” of children. The movie exploits a confused girl who, at some point, battles substance abuse and a concerned family, as the girl insists she is really a boy.

It also produced a documentary making the case for “reparations.”

The station propagandized for the Biden regime as well, and involved itself with the cover-up of his obvious mental decline, having The Atlantic Editor-In-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg (in his own right a regime propagandist) tell everyone that Biden was actually “quite acute.”

While the PBS and NPR content that ranges from the grotesque to the absurd is too extensive to list here, the fact remains that every single Senate Democrat who wasn’t hospitalized and two Never-Trump Republicans voted to keep that content flowing.
