Bondi rips ‘out of control’ Mamdani for making antisemitism ‘mainstream’ – Washington Examiner

Attorney General Pam Bondi criticized Zohran Mamdani, a democratic mayoral candidate for New York City, alleging that he has made antisemitism more mainstream through his rhetoric. Bondi’s comments followed the shocking news of Mamdani’s primary victory, which has raised concerns in U.S. political circles due to his critical views towards Israel. During her appearance on Fox News, Bondi expressed that Mamdani’s statements are “utterly ridiculous,” suggesting they help normalize antisemitic sentiments and delegitimize law enforcement. She referred to a recent violent incident against a Jewish group as part of a broader pattern of antisemitism linked to Mamdani’s views. In contrast to some Republican calls for Mamdani’s deportation, the White House has taken a more measured stance, indicating a desire to see him defeated at the ballot box rather than pursue extreme measures.

Bondi rips ‘out of control’ Mamdani for making antisemitism ‘mainstream’

Attorney General Pam Bondi bashed Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani on Monday, claiming he was mainstreaming prejudice against Jewish people.

The victory of the socialist Mamdani in the Democratic primary of the nation’s largest city has sent shockwaves through the U.S. political scene. Among his most controversial views are those critical of Israel, drawing allegations of antisemitism latched on to by Bondi in an appearance on Fox News.

“What Mamdani is saying in New York is utterly ridiculous. It’s making mainstream antisemitism, Sean. This guy is out of control. What he’s been doing, what he’s been saying, he wanted to defund, do away with NYPD. It’s so frightening, and the things about antisemitism should scare us all,” she said.

Bondi then referenced the recent Molotov cocktail attack against a Jewish group in Colorado by an illegal Egyptian migrant and rap duo Bob Vylan leading a crowd in anti-Israel and anti-white chants at the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom.

Later, Bondi chastised Mamdani for allegedly delegitimizing police officers.

WHITE HOUSE PUNTS ON REPUBLICAN CALLS TO DEPORT ZOHRAN MAMDANI

President Donald Trump has condemned Mamdani directly, but his administration is avoiding more drastic measures advocated by some Republicans, such as Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), who called for the mayoral candidate’s deportation.

“I haven’t heard him say that. I haven’t heard him call for that, but certainly he does not want this individual to be elected,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said when asked during Monday’s press briefing if Trump wants to see Mamdani deported. “I was just speaking to him about it and his radical policies that will completely crush New York City, which is obviously a city that the president holds near and dear to him and dear to his heart.”
