Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealed this details during a Cabinet meeting and mentioned an accompanying meeting with France, Germany, and the United Kingdom scheduled for Friday. The talks with the United States will be mediated by Oman, which has facilitated previous discussions in Muscat and Rome.
The primary goal of these negotiations is to limit Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for a relaxation of economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. President Donald Trump has issued warnings of potential airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear program if an agreement is not reached. Meanwhile, iranian officials have stated that they may consider pursuing nuclear weapons, given their stockpile of uranium that has been enriched to near weapons-grade levels.
