Sen. Tim Scott Stands Firm: America is Not a Racist Country
Despite facing renewed attacks from the hosts of The View, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) remains unwavering in his claim that America is not a racist country.
Scott recently appeared on Hannity to respond to a segment on The View where he was criticized for defending America and former President Donald Trump, whom he has endorsed. During the talk show, host Sunny Hostin expressed her offense when Scott stated that America is not racist. Whoopi Goldberg called him a “loony tune,” and Joy Behar described his support for Trump as “horrible” and “groveling.”
“How ridiculous,” Scott fired back. “Let me make this clear to every lady watching The View and on The View: America is not a racist country.”
Scott went on to explain that the attacks were not just aimed at him but were intended to silence the voices of hardworking Americans. He also highlighted the growing number of African Americans considering voting for Trump and joining the GOP, which he believes is causing fear among his critics.
Scott pointed to the record-breaking number of immigrants crossing the border under President Joe Biden’s administration as evidence of the current challenges facing the country. In contrast, he highlighted Trump’s achievements, such as low unemployment rates among minorities and increased funding for historically black colleges and universities.
Last year, Scott appeared on The View as a potential 2024 Republican candidate and condemned the commentary on race during his interview. Notably, Behar was absent from the studio that day. Since then, Scott has dropped out of the race.
