Rubio rejects ceasefire, vows to annihilate Hamas
Senator Marco Rubio Slams Calls for Israel to Agree to Longer Ceasefire with Hamas
In a video that went viral on social media, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) passionately responded to a Left-wing activist who confronted him about calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The activist, Medea Benjamin, a co-founder of the radical anti-war organization Code Pink, asked Rubio if he would support a ceasefire.
“No, I will not,” Rubio firmly replied. “Are you guys filming this? I want you guys to get this. I want Israel to destroy every element of Hamas they can get their hands on. These people are vicious animals who committed horrifying crimes, and I hope you guys post that.”
Benjamin persisted, questioning Rubio about the civilians being killed in the conflict.
“I blame Hamas. Hamas should stop hiding behind civilians,” Rubio asserted. “Hamas knew that this was going to lead to this, so Hamas has to stop building their military installations underneath the hospital.”
Undeterred, Benjamin continued to berate Rubio, accusing him of not caring about the thousands of deaths and innocent babies being killed every day. Rubio responded emphatically, stating, “I think it’s terrible, and I think Hamas is 100% to blame… make sure you post that please,” before walking away.

Hamas leaders agreed to a temporary ceasefire last week as Israel negotiated for the release of hostages taken into the Gaza Strip during Hamas’ brutal attack on October 7. However, the terrorists have violated the ceasefire multiple times this week. The Israel Defense Forces reported attacks on their troops in various locations, and Hamas claimed responsibility for a terror attack in Jerusalem that killed three people.

The war between Israel and Hamas has now entered its 55th day since Hamas initiated the attack on October 7, resulting in over 1,200 deaths and hundreds of hostages. Since the temporary ceasefire, 97 hostages have been released in exchange for over 200 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. However, Israel believes that Hamas still holds around 145 hostages in the Gaza Strip, including women and children.

How does Senator Marco Rubio’s stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict reflect his strong support for the State of Israel?
That innocent people are dying, but I blame Hamas for putting them in harm’s way. They use and exploit innocent people as human shields. That is why they are responsible for the deaths of innocent Palestinians.”
Rubio’s strong stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict comes as no surprise. Throughout his political career, he has consistently shown unwavering support for the State of Israel. In fact, he often refers to Israel as America’s closest ally in the Middle East and has been a vocal advocate for strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Rubio’s stance on the ceasefire issue aligns with the broader sentiment among conservatives, who argue that Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorist organizations like Hamas. Many conservatives argue that a ceasefire would only serve to enable Hamas, allowing them to regroup and continue their attacks on innocent Israelis.
This incident involving Rubio and Benjamin highlights the deep divisions that exist within American society when it comes to the Israel-Hamas conflict. While there are those like Rubio who firmly support Israel’s right to defend itself, there are others who believe that Israel’s actions are disproportionate and that more should be done to protect Palestinian civilians.
These differing viewpoints raise important questions about the role of the United States in resolving the Israel-Hamas conflict. As one of the key players in the region, the actions and statements of American politicians, like Senator Marco Rubio, carry significant weight. Their positions can influence U.S. foreign policy decisions and shape public opinion on the conflict.
While it is clear where Rubio stands on the issue, the question remains: what is the best path forward? Is there a way to achieve a lasting peace between Israel and Hamas without further bloodshed?
These are complex and difficult questions, with no easy solutions. However, one thing is certain: a true resolution to the Israel-Hamas conflict will require both parties to engage in meaningful dialogue and show a genuine willingness to compromise. It will also require the support and involvement of the international community, including the United States.
In the meantime, it is vital for politicians and activists on both sides of the issue to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue. Name-calling and personal attacks, as seen in the confrontation between Rubio and Benjamin, only serve to further divide and polarize the debate.
Ultimately, achieving a lasting peace in the Israel-Hamas conflict will require individuals from all sides to set aside their preconceived notions and work towards finding common ground. It will require empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to peace. Only then can the cycle of violence be broken, and both Israelis and Palestinians can live in security and prosperity.
Senator Marco Rubio’s passionate stance on the ceasefire issue reflects his unwavering support for Israel and his belief in its right to defend itself against terrorist organizations like Hamas. While his views are not without controversy, they highlight the deep divisions that exist within American society regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. It is critical for all parties involved to engage in open and respectful dialogue to work towards a resolution that will bring lasting peace to the region.
