Former President Donald Trump officially files for the New Hampshire primary, making ​a grand entrance in Derry.

Excited supporters gather at ⁤the airport⁢ and statehouse to welcome ‌the 45th ‌president and Republican⁣ frontrunner as ⁣he officially signs papers to be included‍ in the​ first-in-the-nation primary​ ballot.

“This is ‌a very important place, a very ⁢important state,” Trump said at the statehouse.

“We’re only 46 points up so we have to be careful,”⁤ Trump continued with a⁣ chuckle ⁢as he signed.

RealClearPolitics polling average shows Trump leading in the Granite State by more‌ than 30%.‍ After filing the necessary paperwork, the 45th president ⁢reiterated his commitment to⁢ keeping New Hampshire as the first-in-the-nation primary state.

“Democrats do ‌not want to keep‌ New​ Hampshire in this position,” Trump said. “And I did. And⁤ we⁢ did that together.”

Candidates have ‍until October 27th to officially sign up.

The 45th president also addressed​ the vacant Speaker‍ role in the House of Representatives, emphasizing that he was trying to‌ stay “above it.”

“I think‌ it’s going to get solved and ​when it does, it’ll be a beautiful thing,” Trump said. “And it’ll teach a lot of people about ‌democracy ​that happened once before. It’s‌ very tough with four votes.”

“I said there’s only one person that can do it ‍all the way,” Trump continued with a smile. “You⁢ know who that is? Jesus Christ. ⁤If he came down‍ and said, ⁣‘I want to be Speaker,’ he would do it. Other than that, I haven’t seen anybody ⁤that can guarantee it. ⁤But at some point I think we’re going to have somebody pretty soon.”
