Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin discuss Israel, criticize media for equating Israel with its enemies.

Daily ‍Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro Slams American Media for‍ Supporting Hamas

In a scathing critique, Ben ‍Shapiro, former editor of the Daily Wire, called‍ out the American legacy media for seemingly aligning with Hamas, the terrorist organization ‌responsible ⁤for the brutal attack on⁣ Israel on October 7.

Shapiro made these remarks ‍during a discussion about⁢ the Israel-Hamas conflict with conservative analyst ‍Mark Levin on the Fox ‌News show⁢ “Life, Liberty, Levin.” The two commentators first criticized‌ the ‍Biden administration for providing aid to the Gaza Strip, which likely⁢ ended up in the hands⁢ of Hamas, and unfreezing funds⁣ for⁤ Iran, a key supporter of the terrorist group.

“Isn’t it also insane, Ben Shapiro, that the greatest ally⁤ the terrorists ‍have in the United States ‍is the American media?” Levin asked. ⁤”Just ⁢as it was the‍ greatest ally of‍ the‌ Nazis by covering ‌up the ‍Holocaust?”

“It’s absolutely despicable,” Shapiro responded. “The American media has been‌ equating Israel and its enemies morally‌ for decades now.”

Hamas invaded Israel last Saturday, resulting in the deaths of over 1,300 people, including⁢ innocent Israeli ‍families. As the week progressed, the extent of Hamas’ atrocities became more apparent. They targeted⁤ the most vulnerable, committing acts of rape, murder, and violence against women, children, and infants.

Shapiro criticized the ‍media ⁢for downplaying Hamas’ true intentions, claiming they pretend it’s merely a territorial dispute when in reality, Hamas openly expresses its desire to kill Jews.

“And the entire⁢ American ⁣media looks the other way and pretends it’s not happening,” Shapiro added. “They’ll say, ‘Well, but we can examine your ulterior motive. We can tell⁢ what you’re really thinking.’ And this really goes to the⁣ absolute arrogance of Western liberals and that‍ is [believing] ‘everyone thinks like they do.'”

“The media buys into that same nonsense⁢ because when it comes to this particular conflict, the media has decided in their heads that the ⁤Western country has ⁣to be wrong by nature,” Shapiro argued. “And because it’s wrong by nature, that means that anything⁢ that happens to that country ‌must have inevitably⁢ been caused‍ by⁢ the ‘occupation.'”

Shapiro pointed out‌ that the media spins the Israel-Hamas conflict as a result of Israel’s ‍”oppressive occupation,” despite the fact that Israel ⁣withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

“The victims of the Hamas⁤ attack are living in unoccupied areas… They’re ⁢living in the south of Israel, which has been a part of Israel since 1947-48. And even the people getting slaughtered are disproportionately⁤ people of the political ⁤Left,” Shapiro emphasized, highlighting how ‍Hamas targeted young people at a ⁢dance festival.

“That⁣ doesn’t matter to them at all. The facts are completely irrelevant to the narrative,” Shapiro concluded.

How has the American media demonstrated bias in their coverage ⁤of⁤ the Israel-Hamas conflict, according to Ben Shapiro?

Ia has consistently shown a blatant bias in their ‍coverage of ‌the Israel-Hamas‍ conflict. They have gone ‍so far as to ignore or downplay the relentless rocket attacks by Hamas on innocent Israeli civilians, while simultaneously condemning Israel’s efforts to defend itself.”

Shapiro went on ⁢to explain how the American media has failed to ⁤accurately portray the true nature of Hamas, instead presenting them‌ as a legitimate political organization⁤ fighting for the rights ‌of ⁢Palestinians. He highlighted the fact that Hamas ⁤is recognized⁢ as a terrorist organization ‍by the United States, the ⁢European Union, and other countries around the world.

“The American‌ media’s willingness ‌to align themselves with Hamas is not only ⁤morally reprehensible, but it also contributes ‌to the perpetuation of violence in the region,” Shapiro asserted. “By giving legitimacy and a platform to a terrorist organization, they are effectively legitimizing⁢ their ⁢actions and encouraging further violence.”

He also criticized the media for not holding Hamas accountable for the suffering it‍ has caused to both Israelis and Palestinians. Shapiro‍ highlighted the fact that Hamas uses human shields, deliberately placing innocent civilians in‌ harm’s way, and yet the media fails to ⁢condemn these⁣ tactics or acknowledge ⁢the responsibility of Hamas for⁤ the resulting casualties.

Shapiro concluded his scathing critique by calling on the‌ American media to uphold their responsibility to report⁢ the truth ⁤without bias. He urged them to acknowledge the reality of the ‌situation ⁢and to hold ‍Hamas accountable for their actions.

“Journalists have a duty to present the facts⁤ objectively, without taking sides or perpetuating false narratives. It is⁣ their‌ responsibility to inform the public, not to advocate for a particular political⁤ agenda,” Shapiro stated. “The American people deserve better than‍ biased and‍ skewed reporting. They deserve the truth.”

This powerful critique by Ben Shapiro highlights the alarming trend⁢ of media bias in the United States. It ⁤serves as a reminder of the importance of impartial journalism and the need for media ⁤organizations to prioritize ⁤truth ⁣and accuracy in their reporting. Only ⁤by doing so can we hope to have a more informed public and a more just and peaceful world.
