Rapper 50 Cent Throws Mic at Concert,⁣ Injuring Fan

During his concert at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, rapper 50 Cent made headlines ⁢when he allegedly threw a microphone off the stage, accidentally hitting a woman in the crowd. The⁤ incident occurred during his “The Final Lap” tour, where ⁤he had surprised the ⁢audience with a guest appearance by fellow rapper YG.

According to⁤ reports from People magazine, 50 Cent’s microphone had stopped ‌working while YG was performing. In a video that ‌circulated on social media, the ⁣rapper can be seen tossing‌ the malfunctioning microphone into the ⁣crowd. He was then given a second ‌microphone, which he threw ⁤with more force, accidentally hitting a woman in the head, as ‌noted by Variety.

Images later⁢ emerged of the injured woman, ‍identified as Bryhana Monegain, a ‌host from Power 106. She was ‍seen with blood on her face and a significant gash on her forehead. Monegain had been standing ‌in the production area⁣ where ⁣50 Cent’s crew was⁢ located, as reported by People. She was taken to the hospital to receive⁤ treatment for her ⁤injury.

Following ‍the incident, Monegain ⁣filed a ‌police report, leading to 50⁢ Cent becoming ⁤a suspect in a criminal felony battery case, according to TMZ. However, Variety reported⁤ that it was unable to confirm whether a report⁢ had been filed ‍with the Los Angeles ‍Police ⁣Department.

Law enforcement sources informed‌ KTLA that‌ they believe 50 Cent intended to‌ throw the microphone to his crew members in the AV area and did not mean to ‍hit Monegain. However, Monegain‍ claimed that the rapper had looked directly at her ⁣before throwing the microphone, as stated by TMZ.

50 Cent’s attorney, Scott Leemon, defended his client, stating, “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD⁣ this ⁤afternoon, my client Curtis⁣ would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. ‌Anyone saying something different doesn’t have‌ all the facts and is misinformed,” as⁤ reported by Variety.

The rapper’s ⁣tour,⁢ which began in July, is set to continue with the European leg starting next month ⁣in Amsterdam and concluding in December⁤ in New Zealand.
