DeSantis super PAC X briefly suspended on debate day.
A Super PAC Supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Presidential Bid Temporarily Suspended on X
A super PAC backing Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) run for president faced a brief suspension on X, the popular social media platform formerly known as Twitter. The suspension occurred just hours before the Republican National Committee’s primary debate.
The account has since been restored, but a spokesperson for the PAC revealed that X claimed it was a mistake by their automated systems, which mistakenly flagged it as “spam.”

Shortly after the suspension, the PAC’s Strategic Communications Director, Matt Wolking, pointed out that the account had posted several criticisms of former President Donald Trump earlier that day. Wolking also highlighted that Trump supporters on the platform were celebrating the suspension, raising concerns about potential manipulation of X’s rules.
The PAC has been highly active in its efforts to promote DeSantis, particularly in early caucus and primary states such as Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Never Back Down, the name of the PAC, has already organized a bus tour in Iowa featuring DeSantis as a special guest and plans to hold a similar event in New Hampshire.
Additionally, the group has organized extensive doorknocking campaigns and established student-led pro-DeSantis groups on college campuses nationwide.
However, the PAC’s significant activity and close association with DeSantis have drawn criticism, with some questioning whether it violates election laws.
