‘Biden Admin Grants $100M to Minority Colleges Amid Affirmative Action Ban’
The Biden Administration Allocates $100 Million to Minority-Serving Colleges
The Biden administration is taking action to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities, and Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). In a recent news release from the Department of Education, it was announced that these institutions are eligible for nearly $100 million in grants. The funding will be used for infrastructure improvement and to enhance student outcomes for underserved students.
According to the release, the Biden administration has already invested $25 billion in these colleges. This funding comes at a crucial time, as the Supreme Court recently ruled against the use of affirmative action programs in college admissions.
Education Secretary Miguel Cardona emphasized the importance of supporting diverse institutions in higher education. He stated, “At a time when diversity in higher education is under attack, it’s never been more important to invest in our nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Minority-Serving Institutions, community colleges, and other inclusive institutions.”
Affirmative Action benefits white women more than any other group. HBCU grants are no different than our government giving other colleges funding. HBCU’s were created because of white racism against ADOS attending colleges. Once again you prove you don’t know what you’re talking…

The grant fund has two parts. One part allows minority-serving colleges to apply for funding to enhance their research capabilities. The release also acknowledges the need for additional support to help minority students succeed in college. It states, “Many students of color and with low incomes still face barriers to successfully enrolling in and completing college, and as the number of non-traditional students in postsecondary education increases, additional and different supports are required to enable students to successfully complete their credentials.”

In a 6-3 ruling in June, the Supreme Court declared that affirmative action policies used by Harvard University and the University of North Carolina violate the Constitution. The majority opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, stated that universities cannot use race as a determining factor in admissions without a compelling justification. The ruling emphasized the importance of equal protection under the law and the rejection of racial stereotypes.
