25-Year-Old Nursing Student Admits to Fabricating Kidnapping Story
In a shocking turn of events, Carlee Russell, the 25-year-old nursing student, has confessed to law enforcement that she made up the entire story of her alleged kidnapping. This revelation has left the community and authorities stunned.
“There was no kidnapping on Thursday July 13,” the statement said. “My client did not see a baby on the side of the road.”

Derzis revealed that law enforcement is still in the dark about Russell’s whereabouts during the 49 hours she was reported missing. They also remain uncertain about her motives for fabricating the story. However, he did mention that they had suspicions about the hoax for the past week.
When asked about the involvement of the parents, Derzis stated that “anything’s on the table” as investigators are still unsure if Russell had any assistance or if her parents were involved in any way.
Despite the shocking revelation, Derzis emphasized that Russell’s statement will not alter the course of the ongoing investigation.
