Kari Lake Appeals to Arizona Supreme Court Over Alleged Election Misconfiguration

Kari Lake, who lost the Arizona governor election to Democrat Katie Hobbs, is taking her fight to the Arizona Supreme Court. Lake is appealing a court ruling that went against her, claiming that 8,000 votes in the 2022 election were “misconfigured.”

In her ongoing legal battle, Lake has argued that administrative errors during the election disenfranchised thousands of voters. Her latest appeal, filed in May, was transferred to an appeals court in Tucson, which outraged Lake.

Now, Lake is calling for her case to be heard by the state Supreme Court. In her lawsuit, she presents “extraordinary new evidence” that Maricopa County falsely certified the completion of logic and accuracy testing. Lake’s legal team argues that printing errors resulted in at least 8,000 misconfigured ballots, potentially affecting the outcome of the election.

The lawsuit also alleges that Maricopa County officials changed memory cards in the voting systems without proper testing and used uncertified Dominion software. Additionally, it claims that absentee ballot signatures were not properly verified.

Lake believes that her case is crucial for election reform and has confidence in the evidence presented. Despite not yet receiving a favorable ruling, she remains determined to fight for justice.
