House Republicans to hold exclusive meeting Thursday to discuss Biden investigations.

House Republicans to Hold Member-Only Policy Meeting on Investigations and Oversight

House Republicans are gearing up for an exclusive policy meeting on Thursday, focusing on the crucial investigations and oversight efforts carried out by House committees. This meeting promises to be a significant event, with updates and briefings from esteemed Chairmen James Comer (R-KY) of Oversight, Mark Green (R-TN) of Homeland Security, Jim Jordan (R-OH) of Judiciary, and Jason Smith (R-MO) of Ways and Means.

The Washington Examiner has obtained an email revealing the exciting lineup of speakers for this gathering. The chairmen will be sharing valuable insights and updates with their fellow House Republicans, shedding light on the investigations their committees are conducting concerning the Biden administration.

Investigating Hunter Biden’s Case and Alleged DOJ Misconduct

Among the key topics to be discussed are the investigations into various aspects of Hunter Biden’s criminal case and the alleged misconduct by the Department of Justice. Chairmen Smith, Comer, and Jordan have been diligently working together to uncover the truth behind these matters.

Recently, two IRS employees came forward as whistleblowers, testifying that the Department of Justice interfered with U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. The chairmen’s committees have taken this testimony seriously and have initiated their own investigations into the alleged misconduct during the probe.

The whistleblowers’ claims include allegations that Weiss was prevented from bringing charges in the jurisdiction of his choice, his request for special counsel status was denied, and the DOJ concealed foreign bribery allegations involving Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Joe Biden from IRS and FBI investigators.

Uncovering Alleged Pressure Tactics and Corruption

Chairman Comer’s Oversight Committee has been diligently looking into an unverified FBI-generated FD-1023, which alleges that Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Joe Biden each received $5 million from the head of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company where Hunter Biden served on the board. These payments were purportedly made to pressure the Ukrainian government into firing prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was allegedly investigating Burisma.

The three committees have collectively requested transcribed interviews from over 13 individuals. Jordan’s committee has called for 11 DOJ employees involved in the Hunter Biden investigation to provide testimony, Smith’s committee has requested interviews with two IRS employees, and the Oversight committee has sought interviews with undisclosed numbers of US Secret Service Agents. All of these interviews are directly related to the whistleblower testimony regarding the Hunter Biden investigation.

Examining Homeland Security’s Handling of the Southern Border

Chairman Green’s Homeland Security Committee has been diligently investigating Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas’ handling of the southern border. This critical inquiry aims to shed light on the actions and decisions made by Mayorkas in this crucial area.

With immense pressure mounting from members of the conference, there have been calls to impeach both Secretary Mayorkas and Attorney General Merrick Garland. While impeachment may not be imminent, the scrutiny and inquiries into these two Biden appointees have intensified in recent weeks.

The policy meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, promising to be an engaging and informative session for House Republicans.
