Lindsey Graham urges crowd to cease booing at Trump rally: ‘Please, just calm down’
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Booed at Trump Rally
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) faced a hostile crowd at a rally for former President Donald Trump on Saturday. From the moment he stepped on stage until he left minutes later, Graham was met with boos and jeers.
Despite the negative reception, Graham remained composed and took nearly a minute before he began speaking, hoping to wait out the booing.
“Just calm down for a second,” Graham urged the crowd as the booing persisted.
According to Associated Press reporter Meg Kinnard, the boos continued for over four minutes. Kinnard tweeted, “Nonstop boos for 4+ minutes now for @LindseyGrahamSC, one of Trump’s top Senate allies who won his 2020 reelect by 10+ points – but isn’t as popular in this very conservative part of SC as some other areas.”

Lindsey Graham opened for Trump at his rally today in SC, and the people were quite unhappy about it.
Why is Trump still aligning himself with globalist neocon RINOs like Graham? Honestly gross. pic.twitter.com/3AUnHqyALJ

Despite the negative reception, Graham addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of unity in winning elections.
“Let me tell you how you win an election, folks,” Graham told the crowd. “You get people together that don’t agree all of the time to agree on the most important things.”
He continued, “My hope is we can bring this party together ’cause he’s gonna be our nominee,” referring to Trump. “He will be the nominee of the Republican Party, and let me tell you what’s at stake. If they win in 2024, they’re gonna pack the Supreme Court. So we need to get off our butts and make sure Donald Trump wins. If they win in 2024 … Puerto Rico and D.C. will be states. Four Democrats for the rest of our lifetime. They’ll abolish the electoral college, they will turn this nation upside down.”
“There’s one person running for president as a Republican that has the ability to change this country. It is Donald J. Trump. He did it once, he can do it again,” Graham added. “I’m gonna help him all over this country, and folks, I am from South Carolina. He is gonna win South Carolina. This is the pathway to the presidency. God bless you all. God bless President Trump. God bless America.”
The crowd’s negative response towards Graham continued later when Trump pointed at him on stage, resulting in laughter when Trump made fun of him, as reported by Mediaite.
