The Washington Examiner recently had the privilege of interviewing Republican presidential candidate Larry Elder, where he shared his insights on his previous run for California governor during the recall of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Newsom’s Chances in the 2024 Presidential Election

Elder firmly believes that Gavin Newsom stands no chance in the 2024 Presidential election. According to Elder, black women in America are rooting for Vice President Kamala Harris, in case President Biden doesn’t make it to the primaries.

“People don’t realize what a loon this guy is!” Elder exclaimed, referring to his former political opponent, Newsom. When asked about a potential 2024 matchup against Newsom or any candidate endorsed by him on the national stage, Elder confidently stated, “I think most Americans have no idea of how left-wing this guy is. Once they do, they’ll run from him like he’s got the plague.”

Despite publicly supporting President Joe Biden, Newsom’s actions suggest he is also running his own presidential campaign. He has launched attack ads against Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida and even requested a debate with him.

“Of course, he wants to run for president,” Elder remarked. “However, he knows he can’t dropkick Joe Biden. If Kamala Harris is not the party nominee and Biden cannot make it, black women will be furious if they perceive her to be kicked aside in favor of some white person like Mayor Pete or Gavin Newsom.”

Elder emphasized that 60% of primary voters are black, with a majority being black females who strongly support Kamala Harris.

Contention Over Kamala Harris’s Cackle

Elder also highlighted a point of contention among black female voters – Kamala Harris’s famous cackle. He stated, “They feel it’s both sexist and racist for us to laugh at Kamala Harris’s so-called cackle. They feel Joe Biden has given her thankless tasks, like finding the root causes of illegal immigration.”

If Harris fails to secure the nomination, Elder warns that voters will never forgive the Democratic National Committee.

“If she’s not the party nominee, they’ll be angry. Not so angry that they vote Republican, please!” Elder exclaimed. “But they won’t vote at all, thereby almost assuring whoever we nominate, he or she will win in November 2024.”

Elder believes that the Democratic Party is aware of this risk, which is why they are preventing Gavin Newsom from running in 2024.
