FSB seeks arrest of Wagner leader Prigozhin, urges troops to intervene.

Russia’s Notorious FSB Issues Arrest Warrant for Owner of Wagner Group

The Federal Security Service (FSB), formerly known as the KGB, has taken a dramatic step by issuing an arrest warrant for Yevgeny Prigozhin, the owner of Russia’s feared Wagner paramilitary group. In a bold move, the FSB has urged Prigozhin’s soldiers to stop him after he effectively declared his intention to overthrow Russia’s military.

Accusations and Escalation

This escalation of events follows Prigozhin’s accusations against Russia’s Ministry of Defense. He claims that they attacked and killed his troops who were fighting against Ukrainian forces in Ukraine. The FSB released a statement condemning Prigozhin’s actions, stating that they are calls for an armed civil conflict within Russia and a betrayal of Russian servicemen.

Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseyev has urged Wagner forces to prevent a full-blown civil war from erupting in the country and to regain their senses.

Prigozhin’s Revelations

In a video statement, Prigozhin revealed that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had lied to President Vladimir Putin about the situation in Ukraine, manipulating him into invading the country. He claims that the war was not about protecting Russian citizens or demilitarizing Ukraine, but rather a ploy for certain individuals to gain attention and showcase the strength of the army.

Prigozhin shared a message on his personal Telegram channel, accusing Russia of launching an attack on his soldiers. According to him, a missile attack was carried out on a PMC Wagner base, resulting in numerous casualties. He alleges that the attack was orchestrated by soldiers from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

With a force of 25,000 men, Prigozhin vows to uncover the truth behind the chaos in the country and put an end to the corruption within the military leadership.

Russia’s Response

In response to these threats, Russia has swiftly deployed heavily armed military personnel in Moscow and the southern city of Rostov-on-Don, near the front line in Ukraine where Prigozhin’s fighters were operating. The situation has escalated to the point where authorities have started shutting down websites, such as Google News, to prevent the spread of information to the public.
