66 US Clinics Have Halted Abortions Since Supreme Court Struck Down Roe v. Wade: Institute

Dozens of clinics in U.S. states have stopped performing abortions in the 100 days since the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, according to a new analysis.

In 15 states that have imposed complete or six-week abortion bans, 66 clinics have stopped offering abortions, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute. “Much more research will need to be conducted to grasp the full extent of the chaos, confusion and harm that the US Supreme Court has unleashed on people needing abortions,” the Guttmacher Institute said in its analysis.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America offered a different view. The group said that the abortion bans already in effect or slated to take effect “are anticipated to protect
