Four People Shot During High School Football Game in Oklahoma
CHOCTAW, Okla.—In a shocking turn of events, a high school football game in Choctaw, Oklahoma turned into a scene of chaos and violence on Friday night. Four individuals were shot, and to add to the chaos, a police officer also fired a weapon.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. during a game between Choctaw High School and Del City High School. Choctaw Police Chief Kelly Marshall confirmed the reports of a shooting and stated that officers swiftly responded to the scene.
The victims, all suffering from gunshot wounds, were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. While one victim was fortunate enough to be released after receiving treatment for a thigh wound, the conditions of the other three victims remain unknown at this time.

Aside from the shooting victims, Chief Marshall mentioned that one person was also treated for a possible broken leg. The investigation is still in its early stages, and it is unclear whether any of the victims, apart from one confirmed student, were also students.
Authorities received a description of a male suspect who fled the scene, but as of Friday evening, the individual remained at large. The exact number of shooters involved in the incident is still unknown, although witnesses reported seeing two muzzle flashes during the shooting.
Del City Police Chief Loyd Berger revealed that off-duty Del City officers were present at the game to provide security. One of these officers discharged their weapon but fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
Chief Berger stated, “A Del City officer was involved in the shooting,” and added that the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting an investigation into the officer’s actions.
Given the magnitude of the crime scene, the sheriff’s office, along with the highway patrol and other local police agencies, were called in to assist with the investigation.
