Tragedy Strikes as Boat Fire Claims Lives
LONG BEACH, Calif.
It was a day of horror and devastation as a 35-foot pleasure boat suddenly erupted into flames at a fuel dock in Alamitos Bay, on the eastern side of Long Beach. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of two lives and left three others hospitalized with severe burns.
The terrifying incident occurred on August 6th at approximately 5:17 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported the horrifying scene unfolding at the dock located in the 200 block of Marina Drive. Long Beach Firefighter Jake Heflin, who was at the scene, shared the harrowing details with City News Service.
