A critical profile of Texas Democrat James talarico, who is featured as a U.S. Senate candidate under scrutiny for a series of provocative public statements and actions. The piece compiles social media posts, public remarks, and media coverage to portray Talarico as embracing a sharply progressive and controversial agenda, highlighting themes such as gender fluidity and nontraditional religious views, provocative takes on abortion, and performative activism.

Key elements cited include claims about six biological sexes, God being nonbinary, pride in pronouns, and a reimagined view of gender roles; arguments about abortion “for all,” including the trans community; references to Planned parenthood and feminist activism; and critiques of race and policing narratives. The article also notes personal anecdotes and stylistic quirks, such as remarks about his high school past, unusual dietary habits, and public grief rhetoric. The piece is written by Jordan Boyd for The Federalist and directly cites various tweets and interviews to support its portrayal.

James Talarico is many things, but, despite Democrats and corporate media’s best efforts to convince Texans otherwise, normal is not one of them.

Talarico tries to come across as your friendly neighborhood Jesus freak, but ultimately presents as yet another faux-masculinity Democrat, frankensteined together with remnants of Pete Buttigieg and Tim Walz’s flailing political careers and programmed to spout off Democrats’ most radical and cringey talking points. The cherry on top of Talarico’s place as the Lone Star State Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate is the ringing praise he received from disgraced chronic election loser and fellow Texan Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.

Talarico’s posturing is so startling that it earned him the title “the most punchable persona I have ever seen in a politican” from The Federalist’s own very smart woman. If that wasn’t enough to convince you he’s no good, here are 17 times Talarico made us wonder if he’s the product of a progressive lab experiment gone terribly wrong.

Yes Queen

Surely there’s no better way to blend in with Earth beings than bragging, at the ripe of age of 36 years-old, that you had “an active social life” in high school that included going out with the “homecoming queen.” Perhaps the worst part about that decades-old fun fact is that it was fed by Talarico’s team to Texas Monthly for inclusion in the publication’s fawning January 2026 profile of him.

Mr. Mac ‘N’ Cheese

We’ve all got favorite comfort foods, but Talarico’s admission to The New Yorker that he swallows his Kraft Mac & Cheese whole “because he enjoys the ‘liquid tubes’ feeling of childhood” is too much information. Though, his weird food habits fit in just fine with Democrats’ strange “how do you do, fellow normies” approach to preparing and choking down sustenance.

Fauci Action Figure

Only cool kids get a masked Anthony Fauci action figure for Christmas instead of coal.

The Virus™

Forget Covid. Racism, according to Talarico, is a virus that is highly “contagious,” even if a white male like himself isn’t “showing symptoms.”

“The only cure is diagnosing the virus within ourselves and taking dramatic actions to contain the spread. The first small step is proclaiming loudly and unequivocally that #BlackLivesMatter,” Talarico typed out in May 2020, just weeks before the summer of rage commenced.

Domestic Terrorist Double Standard

Speaking of skin color, Talarico said “radicalized white men are the greatest domestic terrorist threat in our country,” and YouTube is to blame. I have a feeling his sweeping statement does not apply to white men such as Charlie Kirk’s accused murderer, Tyler Robinson, or ICE agitators like Alex Pretti.

“As a white man, I’m susceptible to the same radicalization. Thankfully, I was exposed to diversity at a young age and explicitly taught the values of equality, inclusion, and justice,” Talarico added.

Women=Neighbors With A Uterus

A new moniker for adult female humans has dropped, and it’s a doozy. In addition to being referred to as “chest feeders,” “womxn,” and “she/hers,” women have been dubbed “neighbors with a uterus” by pro-trans Talarico. I wonder if that’s how he got the homecoming queen to go out with him all those years ago.

Male, Female, Etc.?

One would think a self-proclaimed aspiring minister would have read the first chapter of the first book of the Bible, which clarifies “male and female he created them,” but alas. On the planet Talarico hails from, there are allegedly “six” sexes.

“Modern science obviously recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes,” Talarico told the Texas legislature. He preemptively attempted to fend off scoffing about his outrageous statement by claiming, “I’m not a scientist, I’m a politician.”

“Modern science recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes. There are six.”

‘Multi-Gender’

It was amid a social media word vomit about grief over Americans’ concerns with 2020 election irregularities being “fertile soil for creativity and action” that Talarico claimed there are not only multiple sexes, but also multiple genders. The latter is apparently essential to his desire to “do something that has never been done in human history: create a true democracy.”

Grief can be fertile soil for creativity and action.

Those of us in this moment have a great mission. To do something that has never been done in human history: create a true democracy—multi-racial, multi-gender, multi-cultural.

May we, in our grief, forge this new covenant.

Proud Pronouns

Talarico was proud to be the “first in the history of the Capitol to add pronouns to our official business cards” in 2021. Just in case you’re confused, the (she/her/hers) describes Talarico’s scheduling director, not him.

The Texas Capitol can be a hostile environment for our trans neighbors.

Our office is the first in the history of the Capitol to add pronouns to our official business cards.

‘God Is Nonbinary’

Talarico’s confusing version of fake Christianity doesn’t end with his denial of biological sex. He has argued that “God is nonbinary” and that Jesus was a “radical feminist.”

Cultural Appropriation

In general, Talarico appears to appropriate Christianity in the most blasphemous ways. He claims that other religions, such as“Buddhism and Hinduism and Islam” revolve around “the same truth about the universe,” a historically and theologically inaccurate statement.

WATCH: The New York Times brings on a “Christian” voice today, Democrat James “God is non-binary” Talarico… and wow, his views fall way outside of widely held Christian orthodoxy … few examples:

“Buddhism and Hinduism” reveal the same truths as Christianity

Jesus Product Of Consent, Not God’s Divine Plan

“We only have Jesus because a woman consented to creating him,” Talarico told a congregation in 2022.

“The story of Mary is my favorite story in all of scripture…

We only have Jesus because a woman consented to creating him.

The story of Jesus begins with a single, simple, extraordinary act of feminism.” pic.twitter.com/UVWExPMjfn

Biblical Evidence For Abortion

As if the heresies he spewed about God and Jesus weren’t already enough, Talarico claimed against all evidence during his The Joe Rogan Experience appearance in July 2025 that there is “biblical evidence” to support radical abortion policies.

NEW: Texas House Democrat and pastor James Talarico suggests the Bible supports abortion, says there is no Biblical basis for Christians to be anti-abortion.

Abortion For All (Even The Cross-Dressers)

Talarico suggested that everyone — even deluded cross-dressers — can and should be able to kill their unborn young whenever they please.

TALARICO: “Our trans community needs abortion care too.”

Planned Parenthood Pick-Me

Talarico’s affinity for abortion is not new. Long before he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives and long before he ever thought about throwing his hat in a U.S. Senate race, the Texan spent his time bragging on social media about being the “only teenage boy at Planned Parenthood’s March for Women’s Lives.”

This video brings back memories of being the only teenage boy at Planned Parenthood’s March for Women’s Lives in 2004. http://t.co/TycfiAU0

‘Grieving’ Again

Talarico, it appears, is good at performative “grieving.” He does not, however, mourn the countless lives lost to the violent and fatal act of abortion. Instead, Talarico publicly despaired when the Supreme Court’s landmark Dobbs v. Jackson decision was leaked because it signified “generations of feminists watching their progress unravel.”

Lastly, take time to grieve.

When I was little, my mom volunteered for the Texas Abortion Rights Action League. She taught me that women will never be free until they belong to themselves.

I’m grieving for her and generations of feminists watching their progress unravel.

Tax The Trillionaires

“We should tax trillionaires out of existence,” Talarico claimed months into his Senate campaign. The problem for Talarico is trillionaires do not yet exist in the U.S. — or anywhere else in the world.

Elon Musk is about to become the first trillionaire.

The reason poverty exists in the wealthiest country on earth isn’t because we can’t feed the poor — it’s because we can’t satisfy the rich.
